A641.9.3.RB - Becoming a Resonant Leader

Briefly state your personal vision and list at least three learning goals, three milestones for each goal, actions steps for each milestone, and list key people who will support you to achieve the learning goals.

Dear desired self,

I do want to wish you a safe and meaningful journey on the path to finding your desired self. I know the path might be a bit daunting at times but staying true to you core values will have guide the way. My primary concern for you is to stay true to what you believe is most important in whatever you desire. Without wavering from the structure that makes you sound, you'll undoubtedly exceed in the endeavors that you take on. "Your vision for a desired self isn't just about allowing myself to excel in life, but rather establishing a culture that binds others to finding a better set of core values" (Bueby, 2019). A few goals that I'd like you see through to fruition are being more mindful, compassionate, and being less selfless.

Being more mindful will allow you to recognize the third goal which is the fact that you give way too much to your current profession. You are in full swing in the cycle of sacrifice but aren't reaping any of the benefits for renewal. Being mindful allows you to recognize your strengths and weakness and bind positive attractors into a plan of action that benefits your personal goals, and also compliments the organization as well. When being mindful please remember that "the foundation for which everything you hold true is in trust and respect" (Bueby, 2019). This will help to keep you grounded in when making crucial decisions that are controversial at best. Along this path for being more mindful and less devoted to work I'd like for you to set time aside each day to help you with this task. Initially setting 10 minutes a day will help prioritize the interactions you wish to create. Also during the weekend I'd like you to reflect on weeks interactions and find areas to improve your critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and where you can lean on positive attractors in an attempt to remove as much dissonance as you can. Your older best friend Jimmy Boggs can definitely lend you some much needed advice here because as you know he has been through many similar experiences in this very area of concern.

Compassion is evident in your personal work and you devote a lot of time and energy into all facets of excellence. This makes you the person you are but finding ways to pursue that passion into others is another area you need to concentrate. Exciting vigor in your subordinates is something all leaders need to work at in order to become more resonant leaders. Your parallel leaders can help you in this arena as well as leaders echelons above you. Setting time aside to collectively come to an agreement of how you can get after several areas of concern can pay dividend later on when individuals are basically self sustaining professionals in their domain. As you start to scale back your devotion, finding time to renew is something that not only you need to establish for yourself but to also instill this necessary practice in others as well. Again I wish you the best, and above all remember that you'll be successful regardless of the path you take as long as you stay true to you core values.
